I intended to post Part 2 of my AP cartridge review a very long time ago, but work and life have a way of taking up so much time!!!
For this review, I decided that I would focus on the AP cartridge for the next layout I started. Today was the day that I started a new layout. I have many projects on the go and I try to finish what I have started before I start on new stuff, but sometimes you just need to get into something new.
I used a sketch that I printed from the Scrapbook Steals web site and decided that I would try to find all the elements of the sketch on this cartridge. I knew the cartridge was very versatile, but I was surprised that I was able to find all the elements I needed on the cartridge.
Since I had two pictures I wanted to use, I just flipped the sketch for the facing page.
I used the BoBunny Hello Sunshine collection for this layout. I love the beautiful, bright colours!!
The large orange background piece is from page 43 <Square3> of the handbook. I cut the piece in half so I could use them on the two pages.
The small piece of diamond border is shown on page 61 and was cut using the Font and Shift options.
Page 68 shows the banner I used for the two fishtail cut pieces on the sides of the photos. I used <Banner1> at 4.5 and 5.5 inches.
The frame I used around the photo is shown on page 23 (Layer option). I used the Font option for the cut on page 64 for the border below the frame. It was just a bit too wide so I cut one loop off with my scissors.
The tab shapes above the photos are from page 58 <Tab2>.
The flourishes on the sides are from page 60 (Font Layer option) and I cut four (4) of these pieces. One piece on each page is underneath the background piece and the 2nd piece is on foam dots over the background piece. I cut them from yellow card stock, but then I wasn’t very happy with the look so I misted them with Dylusions spray inks.
The flower border pieces at the tops of the pages are a sticker from the collection. The yellow letters spelling out “music lover” are also stickers from the collection. The circular turquoise letters spelling out “little” are from my stash as is the rickrack ribbon.
If you haven’t already purchased the Art Philosophy cartridge from Close to My Heart, you should definitely consider doing so. Contact either Darla (in Canada) or Lucy (in the U.S.) to purchase this cartridge today!!! You won’t be disappointed.
