Mother’s Day Card

I love making cards, but this was a bit stressful because it was the first time I used the Cricut to make a card!!!

I really had fun exploring all the cartridges learned a lot from this exercise.  Happy Mother’s Day….Hope you enjoy.

My sister Peggy went to Michael’s (she is there almost every day LOL). They had a sale she could not resist and picked up 12 x 12 Floral Foliage patterned paper by Recollections. The paper designs are absolutely beautiful and I surprised myself by selecting a teal given that I am not usually a fan of anything blue. I thought the butterflies were just beautiful.

I cut the card using the Damask Decor cartridge. Since I love flowers, I used the Flower Shoppe cartridge to cut the flower I wanted. I used the Beyond Birthdays cartridge to cut the word Mom with a black shadow behind it. Note that the cartridge does not have a Shadow cut for the word, but if you cut the image from a darker colour and offset the images, it gives you a shadow effect.
