Bath Time

Hello everyone, I am sad to announce that this will be my last post with Cricut DIVA. I have had some exciting changes in my life that will result in the loss of my craftroom, my husband and I are expecting our second child in February. I hope you have enjoyed my posts and I have inspired you to be creative.

Now that we have our second child on the way I have been trying to work on my daughters first year before our second one arrives. Here I have focused on the first bath.

I used Recollections solids and the pattern paper is from my older papers, so I am not sure who they are by.

I cut out a cute baby girl in a bath tub and I used Peachy Keen Stamps for the face. I love these stamps it really helps to put personality into our creations. The rubber ducky is from a set of leftover stickers.

On page two I wanted to detail so I put bubbles coming out of the picture with some added Stickles and a rubber duck sticker.

I added larger bubbles to the bottom of that page for my journaling, so it went with my theme.

Thank you for checking out my post and I hope I have inspired you.

Advice Column

This was an idea that I  came up with for a friends baby shower.

TheMommy Advice Column

Baby Clothesline

I used Recollections solids and the pattern paper was a scrap that I found.

Mom-to-be

On this page a I cropped the mom image from the New Arrival cartridge to fit in the corner. The open section is for people to write down the advice for the mom-to-be. I also have added rhinestones to the belt.

Clothes

The page that mirrors our Advice Column is the little  girls clothes on a clothesline, with another block for people to continue giving the mom advice. I braided white embroidery floss to make the clothesline. I also add rhinestones and glitter to make is super girly.

I think this is such a cute idea, since new mom’s need as much advice as possible.

Baby Shower Card

Hi Brenda from http://happyscrapper64.blogspot.com/ here. It’s been a busy weekend, so I’m posting an older project I completed. My daughter is going to a baby shower this month and asked me to make a card. This is what I came up with.

Image

Image

This is a 7″ x 5″ card. The striped cardstock mat on the front and inside is 6 3/4″ x 4 3/4″ and the white mat on the inside is 6 1/4″ x 4 1/4″. The striped cardstock is from the My Mind’s Eye Party Time stack and all solid cardstock is Recollections.

The cut on the front is from the Baby Steps Cricut cartridge (page 63) cut at 3 1/2″. The blocks on the inside are from the New Arrival Cricut cartridge (page 124) cut at 1 1/2″. The sentiment is from the Close To My Heart New Arrival stamp set, and is stamped with Close To My Heart’s Archival Blank ink pad.

Here are pictures of my Gypsy screens I used to make the cuts.

I used the hide and contour feature on my Gypsy for the Layer 2 cut because there were three colors needed for the different items on that layer.  I forgot to take a picture of all my papers on my mat.

I hope my daughter’s friend likes the card.

Thanks for stopping by!

Baby Shower Invitation

I made this invitation for my soon-to-be daughter-in-law. She wanted pink camouflage and Winnie The Pooh, so here is what I came up with.

ImageImage

The base of the invitation is white cardstock, and it is an A2 size card (4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″). I then added a light pink layer that measures 4″ x 5 1/4″. The next layer is the pink camouflage cardstock that measures 3 3/4″ x 5″. Baby Shower is from the New Arrival Cricut cartridge. It was cut at 2″ using the Shadow feature. (When you see the screenshot of my Gypsy, please disregard the Baby Shower in the upper left corner of the screen. When I cut this, some of the letters were so thin, they tore. That is why I used the Shadow feature for this.) I cut Winnie The Pooh from the Pooh Font Set Cricut cartridge, and he was cut at 2 1/2″.

For the inside of the invitation, the camouflage layer is 4″ x 5 1/4″ and the light pink layer is 3 3/4″ x 5″. I bought the stamp at Michael’s and used the Close To My Heart Archival Black Ink Pad  for the stamping.

All solid cardstock is Recollections and I bought the pink camouflage paper from Stampin’ Station.

Here is the screenshot of my Gypsy.

My future daughter-in-law and her Mom loved the way the invitations turned out. I’m thrilled they liked it.
